Career - Content Manager

The Role

This is a strategic, creative, and operational leadership role.

As Content Manager, you’ll sit at the intersection of creativity, entertainment, skincare 
knowledge, and performance. You’ll be responsible for shaping Silki’s content direction 
— from high-level concepts and storytelling to ensuring content is scripted, approved, 
scheduled, delivered on time, and performing across organic social and paid media.

You won’t just manage content — you’ll define how Silki shows up, while ensuring the 
content machine runs smoothly, on schedule, and to standard.

You’ll work closely with content creators, designers, paid media, and marketing teams to 
build content that educates, entertains, and converts — without losing its soul.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Content Strategy & Direction

  • Owning and evolving Silki’s content strategy across all platforms
     Leading content ideation that blends:
    • Skincare education
    • Entertainment
    • Cultural relevance
  • Translating skincare knowledge (ingredients, routines, concerns) into compelling 
    content narratives
  • Building cohesive content worlds around campaigns and launches

Execution, Planning & Delivery

  • Managing the social media content calendar across:
    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • Website and in-store
    • Campaigns & launches
    • Paid social ads 
  • Ensuring all content is:
    • Scripted
    • Approved
    • Scheduled
    • Delivered on time
  • Managing content team workflows, schedules, and timelines
  • Ensuring content creators are working within agreed schedules and deadlines
  • Acting as the final checkpoint to ensure output meets:
  • Brand standards
  • Quality expectations
  • Strategic intent

Team & Performance Management

  • Managing and leading content teams and creators
  • Setting clear deadlines, expectations, and KPIs for the content team
  • Ensuring content KPIs are met (engagement, performance, delivery)
  • Using performance data and insights to refine content direction and formats
  • Spotting trends early — and knowing which ones to ignore

Paid Content & Commercial Alignment

  • Working closely with the content creators to:
    • Concept and brief high-performing ad creatives
    • Develop problem-solving, objection-handling, and education-led ads
  • Ensuring content supports broader brand, marketing, and commercial goals
  • Balancing creativity with conversion and performance

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Content Manager (or similar) role
  • A strong creative eye with a clear understanding of what makes content scroll-stopping
  • Solid skincare knowledge (ingredients, benefits, routines, skin concerns)
  • Proven experience managing content across organic and paid social
  • Demonstrated experience managing content teams
  • Someone who understands the balance between education, entertainment, and 
    conversion
  • Highly organised, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
  • A pedantic planner and executor — timelines matter here
  • Confident decision-maker with a strong point of view
  • Ability to think strategically while executing practically
