Position: Content Creator

Location: Maitland, Cape Town

Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Content Creator to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content that reflects Silki’s brand voice and strengthens our connection with our community across digital platforms. From concept development to final editing, you'll bring our products and brand stories to life through photos, videos, and written content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and edit engaging content for social media, website, email marketing, and other digital platforms

  • Shoot and edit short-form video (e.g. TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) and lifestyle imagery

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaign concepts and storytelling ideas

  • Write compelling captions, product copy, and content for promotional materials in line with brand tone

  • Manage content calendars and ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints

  • Monitor performance of content across platforms and iterate based on insights

  • Assist in organizing and directing shoots (in-house or outsourced)

  • Stay up to date with trends in beauty, social media, and content marketing

Requirements

  • Proven experience in content creation (please include portfolio or examples)

  • Strong skills in photography, videography, and editing (Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling ability

  • Solid understanding of social media platforms and current trends (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

  • Passion for beauty, skincare, and brand-building

Preferred

  • Experience in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and analytics tools

  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator)
