Position: Warehouse Manager

Location: Maitland, Cape Town

Overview:
Silki is looking for a proactive and highly organised Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, stock control, and dispatch process. This is a key role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, responsible for ensuring that inventory is accurately managed, online and retail orders are fulfilled efficiently, and warehouse processes are streamlined to support our national expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all daily warehouse functions including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching

  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and optimal layout of the warehouse

2. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and records across all product lines

  • Implement and manage regular cycle counts and monthly stock takes

  • Monitor Shopify and POS integrations to ensure accurate reflection of stock levels

3. Order Fulfilment & Dispatch

  • Manage the picking, packing, and dispatching of all online and wholesale orders

  • Coordinate with courier partners and ensure timely and accurate deliveries

  • Handle order-related queries, returns, and escalations

4. Stock Flow for Stores

  • Prepare and manage stock transfers between warehouse and physical stores

  • Monitor store par levels and proactively dispatch replenishments

  • Track in-store collections and stock movements to ensure traceability

5. Systems & Process Improvement

  • Streamline warehouse workflows for efficiency and scalability

  • Implement and maintain stock management software tools and best practices

  • Work with internal teams (retail, marketing, e-commerce) to align inventory strategy

6. Staff Management

  • Supervise warehouse staff and pick/pack team

  • Train and guide staff on safety, SOPs, and accuracy standards

  • Schedule shifts, monitor performance, and manage overtime when needed


Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in warehouse, dispatch, or inventory management

  • Strong knowledge of stock control systems and order fulfilment workflows

  • Experience with Shopify, inventory apps, or ERP software preferred

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

  • Able to work under pressure and manage tight turnaround times

  • High attention to detail and ownership mindset

  • Forklift license or relevant certification (advantageous but not essential)
